Melbourne startup ClimaSens, led by CEO Joe Glesta, is using AI to forecast climate risks for homes, businesses, and crops, from short-term weather events to long-term climate changes. The company received a $5 million grant from Google to develop a climate resilience package with New York's Urban Systems Lab. ClimaSens is also working with NVIDIA to create a flood risk analysis model, aiming to help local governments and businesses better prepare for extreme weather conditions.
