Louisville freshman running back Isaac Brown was ruled out for the game against Stanford after suffering a shoulder contusion in the first quarter. Brown, who ranked third in FBS for yards per carry with 7.55, had to leave the field and was seen in a sling. Despite warming up at halftime, he did not return, leading the Cardinals to rely on other running backs for the remainder of the game.
