An Iranian court has ordered the US to pay $48.86 billion in compensation to families of Iranians killed fighting U.S.-backed terrorist groups like ISIS and Al-Nusra in Iraq and Syria. Judge Majid Hosseinzadeh made the ruling after hearing complaints from 700 family members. The total includes $6.98 billion for material damages, $13.96 billion for mental damages, and $27.92 billion in punitive damages. The ruling can be appealed within two months.
