Indian authorities seized $1.8M in gold during Maharashtra election, violating conduct rules.

On Saturday, India's Flying Surveillance Team seized 14.5 crore worth of gold in Nagpur, India, during the ongoing Maharashtra assembly polls. The gold, in ornaments and biscuits, was being transported by Sequel Logistics without permission from the Election Commission, violating the Model Code of Conduct. The investigation is ongoing.
