Indian Air Force uses helicopters to transport voting materials to remote areas in Maharashtra ahead of elections.

Ahead of Maharashtra's assembly elections on November 20, the Indian Air Force is using helicopters to transport election officials and Electronic Voting Machines (EVMs) to remote polling stations in Gadchiroli district, affected by Naxal activity. This process, aimed at 76 polling stations, will continue until November 19, with results announced on November 23. The elections pit the Maha Vikas Aghadi coalition (Congress, Shiv Sena, NCP) against the ruling Mahayuti alliance (BJP, Shiv Sena, NCP).
