China-funded geopark project in Tanzania begins, aiming to preserve heritage and boost tourism.

The construction of the China-funded Ngorongoro Lengai Geopark project in Tanzania's Arusha region began on November 16. Aimed at preserving the area’s geological and cultural heritage and promoting sustainable tourism, the $8 million project is a collaboration between Tanzanian and Chinese organizations. It is expected to enhance conservation efforts, boost geological research, and improve Tanzania's tourism industry, raising its global profile.
