A 78-year-old pedestrian was killed by a car in Berkeley, the city's fourth traffic fatality this year.

A 78-year-old pedestrian died after being hit by a car in Berkeley at 6:17 p.m. Thursday at the intersection of Rose and Josephine streets. The victim, a Berkeley resident, was crossing Rose Street when struck by a 79-year-old female driver who remained at the scene and cooperated with police. This is Berkeley's fourth fatal traffic collision of 2024.
