Jack Dylan Hennessy, a 26-year-old UK national, was sentenced to three years and three months in prison for orchestrating a fake police scam in New Zealand. Hennessy conned over 20 elderly victims into withdrawing NZ$337,700, claiming it was needed for a covert police operation. Authorities moved swiftly to stop the scam, and Hennessy pleaded guilty to 27 charges, including 25 counts of obtaining by deception. Two other men are facing court for their roles in the scam.
