Chevalier's Books in Los Angeles is running a book drive to provide reading materials for prisons across the U.S. Assistant manager Nat Eastman, whose brother was incarcerated, has set up a GoFundMe page to buy and ship books. Eastman highlights the importance of books as tools for personal growth and connection to the outside world. The initiative complements other prison reading programs and has received positive responses.
