Longleat's Festival of Light has unveiled its heaviest lantern yet, a five-tonne replica of the ancient Chinese Simuwu Ding cooking vessel. The original bronze ding, found in 1939, is the heaviest surviving ancient bronzeware and is displayed in China's National Museum. This year's festival, marking its 10th anniversary, invites visitors to explore various eras of Earth's history, from dinosaurs to ancient Egypt.
