Lebanon seeks Iran's help for ceasefire as Israel intensifies airstrikes in ongoing conflict.

Lebanon's caretaker Prime Minister Najib Mikati has sought Iran's help to secure a ceasefire between Israel and Hezbollah, which has been ongoing for 13 months. Iran's top advisor Ali Larijani has stated their support for any decision made by Lebanon to end the conflict. The US has submitted a draft ceasefire proposal based on U.N. Security Council Resolution 1701, which ended the 2006 war. Despite the draft, both Lebanon and Israel accuse each other of continuing violations. Israel has intensified airstrikes on Hezbollah-controlled areas, leading to over one million people being displaced.
