Kansas' unemployment rate ticked up to 3.4% in October from 3.3% in September, with the state losing 200 nonfarm payroll jobs. Despite recent declines, Kansas has added 20,900 jobs since October last year, including 15,900 in the private sector and 5,000 in government. The U.S. unemployment rate was 4.1% in October.
