Japan's Onagawa No. 2 reactor restarts power generation, first since 2011 Fukushima disaster.

The Onagawa No. 2 nuclear reactor in Miyagi Prefecture, Japan, has resumed power generation for the first time since the 2011 Fukushima disaster. Operated by Tohoku Electric Power Company, the reactor restarted after a 13-year pause and is expected to start full commercial operation in December. The reactor, capable of generating electricity for about 1.62 million households annually, faced a brief halt due to a device issue but was successfully restarted.
