Grant County, WA, sees traffic fatalities drop but intensifies patrols to prevent more deaths.

In 2023, Grant County, Washington, recorded 24 traffic fatalities, down from 32 in 2022. Authorities are cracking down on impaired, speeding, and distracted driving with emphasis patrols until January 1st. Recently, three fatal crashes occurred in western Washington, including one in Everett where a woman was struck and killed while crossing the street. The patrols aim to achieve the Target Zero goal of zero traffic deaths by 2030.
