Ghaly, 20, sentenced to 230 days for fatal jet ski crash that killed 12-year-old Savannah Peterson in San Diego.

Arsanyous Refat Ghaly, 20, was sentenced to 230 days in custody and two years of probation for the fatal jet ski collision with 12-year-old Savannah Peterson in Mission Bay, San Diego, last July. Ghaly pleaded guilty to vehicular manslaughter with gross negligence. Prosecutors claim the jet ski was traveling at 47-53 mph in a 5 mph zone. Savannah's family has filed a wrongful death lawsuit against Ghaly and others, including the city and county of San Diego.
