A four-story building in Tanzania's Dar es Salaam collapsed, killing at least one and injuring many.

A four-story building in Kariakoo, Dar es Salaam's busiest market, collapsed on Saturday, resulting in at least one death and numerous injuries. The building had been expanding its underground business space before collapsing. Rescuers, including army personnel and the Tanzania Red Cross Society, are using drills, sledgehammers, and bare hands to search for survivors. At least 56 people have been rescued. Dar es Salaam, with a population over five million, is one of the world's fastest-growing cities, raising concerns about building safety standards.
