Budget champagnes from Tesco, Aldi, and Waitrose outscored pricier Moët & Chandon in a Christmas taste test.

In a recent taste test by Which?, Tesco's Finest Premier Cru Brut Champagne was named the best for Christmas, scoring 82%, followed closely by Aldi's Veuve Monsigny and Waitrose's Brut NV Champagne, both scoring 80%. These champagnes, priced around £25, outperformed Moët & Chandon's Brut Impérial, costing nearly £44 and scoring 77%. Lidl's Prosecco, priced at £7.49, also scored 80%, highlighting affordable options for quality bubbly this holiday season.
