Olav Thon, a billionaire Norwegian real estate developer known for his iconic red cap, has died at 101. Born in 1923, Thon began his career in animal breeding before founding one of Norway's largest real estate empires. His company owns over 80 shopping centers and 90 hotels across Europe and employs thousands. In 2013, Thon transferred most of his assets to the Olav Thon Foundation. He was also a philanthropist focusing on medical research and outdoor activities. Cause of death was not specified.
