Unilever plans to sell smaller European brands, cut 1,700 jobs, and hire for ice cream spinoff to save €800M.

Unilever, a major consumer goods company, is planning to sell some of its smaller European food brands to focus on its top "power" brands. The company is also cutting about 1,700 jobs in Europe, down from an initial plan of 3,200 cuts, and hiring around 1,000 people for its upcoming ice cream business spinoff. This move is part of Unilever's restructuring aimed at saving €800 million.
