Study links college students' use of dating apps to higher risks of multiple partners, STDs, and alcohol-involved sex.

College students using dating apps are 2.2 times more likely to have multiple sexual partners and 1.4 times more likely to have sex under the influence of alcohol, according to a study in Frontiers in Reproductive Health. These students are also 1.3 times more likely to test positive for sexually transmitted diseases (STDs). The study surveyed 122 college students and suggests a link between dating app use and risky sexual behaviors, though causality may run in both directions.
