Seven Chinese villages have been named "Best Tourism Villages" by the United Nations World Tourism Organization, bringing China's total to 15, the highest globally. Selected for their cultural preservation and sustainable tourism, the villages include Azheke in Yunnan, Guanyang in Fujian, Shibadong in Hunan, Taoping in Sichuan, Xiaogang in Anhui, Xitou in Zhejiang, and Yandunjiao in Shandong. China's rural tourism has become a significant economic driver, with 2.25 billion visitors generating $182.85 billion in revenue.
