The Selangor government in Malaysia has allocated RM34.27 million in its 2025 budget for flood mitigation, with major funds going to manage three river basins: RM18.7 million for Sungai Klang, RM9.3 million for Sungai Langat, and RM3.2 million for Sungai Selangor. Additional funds will upgrade coastal bunds and support a new water treatment plant to enhance flood management and water supply.
