Scientists create CO2-based biodiesel method, 45 times more efficient than soybean-based fuels.

Researchers from Washington University and the University of Missouri have developed a new method to produce biodiesel using CO2. This process, which uses electrocatalysis to convert CO2 into fatty acids, is 45 times more efficient and requires 45 times less land than soybean-based biodiesel. This innovative approach could help reduce carbon emissions and address the shortage of biodiesel feedstock, potentially transforming renewable fuel production.
