Samuel Woodward, 27, is scheduled to be sentenced to life in prison for the first-degree murder of Blaze Bernstein, a 19-year-old gay University of Pennsylvania student. Bernstein was stabbed and buried in a shallow grave in a California park in 2018. Woodward was convicted with a hate crime enhancement; prosecutors alleged his involvement with a neo-Nazi group, while his defense highlighted his autism spectrum disorder.
