Premier Foods reports a 4.6% revenue rise to £498.7M as consumers return to branded goods.

Premier Foods, the UK company behind brands like Mr Kipling and Bisto, saw a 4.6% rise in revenues to £498.7 million in the first half of this year. This growth is attributed to consumers returning to branded products as cost-of-living pressures ease. Branded products sales increased by 6.8%, while sales of own-label products dropped. The company's CEO, Alex Whitehouse, noted a trend of consumers "treating themselves" more, with sales of items like Mr Kipling cakes doubling. Premier Foods also reported a 9% increase in adjusted pre-tax profit to £61 million.
