NYPD indicts 30 for gang violence in Manhattan, linked to seven deaths over 18 months.

Prosecutors in New York City have indicted 30 individuals involved in gang rivalries in upper Manhattan, leading to the deaths of four bystanders over the past 18 months. These gangs, including the 200/8 Block, 6 Block crew, and Own Every Dollar crew, are accused of 18 shootings that killed seven people in total. The violence began after a 2018 killing triggered retaliatory acts. NYPD Deputy Chief Brian Gill claims the indictments will significantly improve neighborhood safety.
