Nigeria's oil production hits 1.8 million barrels per day, up from previous levels.

Nigeria's state-owned oil firm, the Nigerian National Petroleum Company Limited (NNPC), has reported a crude oil production of 1.8 million barrels per day, up from previous levels. The increase is attributed to efforts against pipeline vandalism and theft, along with support from security agencies and stakeholders. NNPC aims to reach 2 million barrels per day by the end of the year, in line with President Bola Tinubu's mandate. The company also reports a rise in gas production to 7.4 million standard cubic feet per day.
