Nigerian judicial council suspends two judges and recommends retirement for two others over misconduct.
The National Judicial Council in Nigeria has suspended two judges, Justice G. C. Aguma and Justice A. O. Nwabunike, for one year without pay and placed them on a watch list for two years due to misconduct. Additionally, the Chief Judge of Imo State and the Grand Kadi of Yobe State were recommended for compulsory retirement for falsifying their ages. The council also empanelled a committee to investigate other judges.
