The Nigerian Minister of Environment has inaugurated a new ranger outpost in Gashaka Gumti National Park to combat illegal mining and security threats like poaching and banditry. Built by African Nature Investors (ANI) in partnership with the National Park Service, the outpost will house over 50 rangers and provide essential resources like water and internet. The project aims to protect the park and boost tourism while also supporting local communities.
