Irish firm ordered to pay €77,848 to ex-manager after unfair dismissal ruling.

The Workplace Relations Commission (WRC) ordered Ballyseedy Restaurant Ltd, linked to Ballyseedy Garden Centre in Co Kerry, to pay €77,848 to former IT manager David McCullagh for unfair dismissal and unpaid wages. McCullagh was fired shortly before the company's CEO's arrest in a multi-million-euro drug seizure case. The WRC awarded McCullagh €50,000 for unfair dismissal and €12,000 for unpaid wages and compensation. The company ceased trading after the CEO's arrest.
