The Mid North Coast Indian Association hosted Diwali, the Festival of Lights, on November 2nd in Port Macquarie, attracting about 4,000 attendees from Forster to Coffs Harbour. The event featured a night market, cultural performances, workshops, and food stalls, starting with a traditional pooja for Goddess Lakshmi and a welcome to country. Free to attend, the event raised funds through gold coin donations for the Liberty Domestic and Family Violence Service.
