Ahead of International Fraud Awareness Week, Bank of Ireland's study shows that 90% of Irish adults consider fraud a major issue, with fake online purchase scams most common. One-third of respondents were targeted by fraudulent ads on social media, mostly on Facebook (65%) and Instagram (28%). Almost half saw ads featuring well-known figures promoting fake investments. The bank calls for EU-level changes to verify advertisers' legitimacy.
