Ancient Roman gladiator knife handle found in River Tyne near Hadrian's Wall.

A 2,000-year-old Roman knife handle depicting a gladiator has been discovered in the River Tyne near Hadrian's Wall in England. The handle, likely a souvenir, features a left-handed secutor, a gladiator class, and provides evidence of gladiators' celebrity status extending even to the outskirts of the Roman Empire. English Heritage will display the handle at Corbridge Roman Town in 2025, alongside other River Tyne artifacts.
