UK High Court approves will written on food boxes, bequeathing £180,000 to Diabetes UK.

The UK High Court has validated a will written on food packaging, allowing Diabetes UK to inherit £180,000 from Malcolm Chenery's estate. Chenery, who died in 2021, wrote his final wishes on boxes from Young's frozen fish and Mr Kipling mince pies. Despite the unconventional format, the judge ruled the will valid under the 1837 Wills Act, permitting the charity to receive his house, jewellery, and other possessions.
