Samworth Brothers, parent company of Ginsters, fined £1.28M after worker's death due to safety breaches.

Ginsters' parent company, Samworth Brothers, was fined £1.28 million after a worker, Paul Clarke, 40, was killed by a reversing lorry at their Cornwall bakery. Clarke was moving strip curtains when he was crushed against a wall. The Health and Safety Executive found that Samworth Brothers failed to assess risks and provide proper training for moving the curtains. The company admitted to health and safety breaches and was ordered to pay additional costs.
