Patrick Stephenson, 23, pleaded not guilty to the murder of Samantha Murphy, a mother who disappeared after a run on February 4, 2024. Despite extensive searches, Murphy's body has not been found. Stephenson, who appeared via video link, has opted to fast-track his case to the Supreme Court for a trial scheduled on November 27. He is also facing five unrelated driving charges. His lawyer noted there is an "unprecedented" amount of evidence against him.
