Nine wealthy Canadian donors pledge $405M to triple climate funding in Canada by 2030.

Nine wealthy Canadian families and foundations have pledged $405 million over the next decade to fight climate change in Canada. The funds aim to triple annual contributions to climate initiatives, from about $100 million to more than $300 million by 2030. The initiative's goal is to accelerate climate action in Canada, where climate philanthropy currently represents less than 1% of total charitable giving. The partners will collaborate through the Climate Champions initiative.
