Missouri governor seeks federal aid after severe storms and tornadoes damage 14 counties.

Missouri Governor Mike Parson has requested federal disaster assistance after severe storms, tornadoes, and flooding hit 14 counties between Nov. 3-9, damaging roads and bridges. FEMA is conducting damage assessments, and if approved, local governments and nonprofits could receive federal aid for recovery costs. The state declared a state of emergency on Nov. 5, and resources are available at recovery.mo.gov for those affected.
