Major U.S. retailers, including McDonald's and Chipotle, fail to protect consumers from harmful chemicals, report finds.

The 2024 Retailer Report Card by Toxic Free Future reveals that major U.S. and Canadian retailers are failing to protect consumers from hazardous chemicals and plastics. Out of 50 retailers, 17 received an F, including McDonald's, Chipotle, and Subway. The report grades companies on their efforts to remove harmful substances, transparency, and supply chain practices. Leading companies like Apple and Target received A grades, while Ulta Beauty showed significant improvement.
