Indian aerospace firm HAL reports 22.1% jump in net profit, securing major defense contract.

Hindustan Aeronautics Ltd (HAL), an Indian state-owned aerospace company, reported a 22.1% increase in net profit to Rs 1,510.49 crore for the second quarter of the current fiscal year, with revenue up 6% to Rs 5,976.29 crore. EBITDA rose 7.3% to Rs 1,640 crore. HAL secured a significant contract worth Rs 26,000 crore with the Indian Defense Ministry. The company’s stock saw a positive rise following the announcement.
