The Connecticut Wind Collaborative launched a study to boost the state’s offshore wind industry, aiming to support local manufacturing and long-term economic growth. Meanwhile, the Port of Long Beach’s Board of Harbor Commissioners approved plans for Pier Wind, a 400-acre terminal for assembling and deploying offshore wind turbines. This $4.7 billion project could start construction in 2027 and significantly contribute to renewable energy and economic output in California.
