China launched a new satellite for ocean-salinity detection from Taiyuan on November 14 using a Long March-4B rocket. The satellite will enhance China's data collection for ocean dynamics and environmental factors, improving marine forecasting and supporting climate and ecological research. It will also aid in agriculture, disaster mitigation, and meteorology. This launch marks the 545th flight of the Long March series rockets.
