Zoo Atlanta names newborn sloth "Rolo" after public contest, continuing sweet-naming tradition.

Zoo Atlanta has named its newborn sloth "Rolo" after a public naming contest. The baby, born to Cocoa and Nutella on August 9th, continues the zoo's tradition of naming sloths after sweets. Gina Ferrie, Vice President of Collections and Conservation, noted that naming helps build connections to the species. The sloth is a Hoffmann's Two-Toed Sloth, native to South American forests.
