U.S. border agents seized $31M worth of meth hidden in a shipment of peppers at a Texas border crossing.

U.S. Customs and Border Protection officers at the Pharr International Bridge in Texas seized over $31 million worth of methamphetamine hidden within a shipment of serrano peppers. The drugs, weighing 2,155 pounds and divided into 1,859 packages, were found during a secondary inspection of a tractor-trailer from Mexico. Homeland Security Investigations is conducting a criminal investigation.
