Two anthrax cases confirmed in Mongolia; area quarantined as 11 provinces face risk.

Two human cases of anthrax have been confirmed in Uvs, a western Mongolian province. The victims, a 32-year-old man and a 34-year-old woman, were exposed to a sick cow. Both are in critical condition at a local hospital, and nine others in contact with the animal are in isolation. The area has been partially quarantined, and the National Center for Zoonotic Diseases warns that 11 out of 21 Mongolian provinces are now at risk of anthrax.
