TSMC opens zero-waste center in Taiwan, aiming to save $46M annually and reduce waste.

Taiwan Semiconductor Manufacturing Co. (TSMC) has opened its first zero-waste center in Taichung to recycle manufacturing waste, aiming to save $46 million annually and reduce waste processing by 130,000 tonnes per year. This initiative supports TSMC's goal to achieve net-zero emissions by 2050 and aligns with the UN's Sustainable Development Goals. The center features four recycling facilities and is part of a partnership with the Ministry of Environment to develop carbon capture technology.
