NVIDIA halts most RTX 40 series GPU production, focusing on the new RTX 50 series launching in 2025.

NVIDIA is reportedly ending production of most RTX 40 series GPUs to focus on the upcoming RTX 50 series, set to launch in early 2025. Only the AD107 chip, used in the RTX 4060 and RTX 4050 mobile, continues production. The RTX 50 series, featuring the Blackwell architecture, is expected to debut at CES 2025 with the RTX 5090 and RTX 5080 launching first. Prices for remaining RTX 40 series models may increase due to limited supply.
