Irish leaders propose child benefits and lower inheritance taxes to ease family financial pressures.

Ireland's Taoiseach Simon Harris proposed a permanent double child benefit payment every August to help families with school and summer costs. Both aim to address financial pressures on families and the housing crisis, with Martin targeting 45,000 to 50,000 new homes annually to ease house prices.
