India reports record two-wheeler sales in October, boosted by rural prosperity and festive demand.

In October 2024, India reported record sales in two-wheelers, reaching 21.64 lakh units, a 14.2% increase year-over-year, driven by higher rural incomes and better crop yields. Passenger vehicle sales also hit a new high of 3.93 lakh units, up 0.9%, amid festive demand for Diwali and Dussehra. Scooter sales surged by 22%, while motorcycle sales rose by 11%. Despite the overall growth, three-wheeler sales saw a slight decline of 0.7%.
