Deep Sky Corp., a carbon-removal startup, has sold its first carbon credits to Royal Bank of Canada and Microsoft, totaling 10,000 tonnes of CO2 removal over 10 years from its Alberta demonstration center. The center tests eight different direct-air-capture units. This marks RBC's first purchase of this type and highlights the growing need for new carbon cleanup methods as global emissions rise.
